CHOOSING THE BEST WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER AT AN EXPO
So i have just done a wedding expo last week (wedding expo Australia) and found there are lots of wonderful suppliers. Here are a few helpful tips and ideas for what to look for when choosing a photographer.
When planning your wedding, choosing a photographer should be at the top of the list. Twenty years after your wedding, all you will have left of your actual day is the memories and your pictures. And you want the best photographer to capture every moment of your big day and make it unique to you both.
At the expo you will get the opportunity to meet 8-12 wedding photographers with a great variety of information.
Check out their albums and pay attention to their editing style. Is that style right for you? And most importantly, do you think spending all day with your photographer is going to be fun? They are going to be with you all day, so make sure you like hanging out with them and they make you feel comfortable! Have a budget in mind that you’re happy to spend on your photography, remembering the images will last a lifetime! As a general rule, this can be from 10-20% of your wedding budget.
Would you like a beautiful custom album or just want to receive the digital files from your photographer? Some photographers will offer one or the other, some will offer both.
And last of all check if they are available as soon as possible. If you are keen on a photographer, they can only be at one wedding on any given date. While there are 52 weekends in a year, most couples are only willing to get married on half of them! Weekday weddings are also emerging as popular.
This wedding of Caitlyn and Brendan was booked at this expo last year. Hopefully this provides some insights to assist with your search. Good luck!
